Family

Parents are a child's first teacher. At Piggyback Rides & Slippery Slides, we believe that forming a strong relationship with our families is an important part of ensuring a successful early childhood education experience. We are here to support you and look forward to being a part of your extended family.

Communication between home and school is so important for successful growth and transitions. We utilize a variety of methods to streamline this process including an open door policy, email, phone calls, daily reports and our comprehensive ProCare Application. Every family has different needs and preferences and we strive to communicate in whichever medium is most comfortable for them. We are always available!

We work with some of the best families in town who are so generous about sharing and recycling things. We maintain an extensive "community closet" for our families to re-home items they no longer need or can use.

Safety and security in a childcare environment must be well thought out and comprehensive. While we welcome parents at all times, unannounced, we maintain a secure facility that includes unique access codes for front door entry, a video door bell system and security cameras throughout the building and classrooms. All staff at the center are CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certified annually and we recently installed an AED onsite. We practice monthly fire drills and other safety procedures and welcome you to view our emergency preparedness plan.

Having our families involved at the center is always welcomed! Current and Past events include Thanksgiving Luncheons, Christmas Parties, Theme based events, Preschool graduation, Easter Egg Hunts, Teacher conferences/Open House, Halloween Parties, PK Prom and others. Additionally, we welcome families to join us throughout the day and share a story or just be present.

We are always happy to answer any questions that existing or prospective families may have.
